What is a multi-application tester?
A multi-application or all-in-one tester is a device used to test multiple types of fire detectors (e.g. smoke and heat). Like any functional tester, an all-in-one tester verifies the ability of the detector to detect a fire and activate it accordingly. An all-in-one tester can be used to test both single and multi-sensor detectors and supports productivity by reducing the need to carry separate tools to test different types of detectors.
What are the benefits of having a multi-application tester?
Multi-application testers streamline fire detector testing by enabling testing of multiple types of detectors (e.g. smoke, heat, CO) from one device. Using a multi-application tester, such as Testifire, means fewer tools to carry around the site and reduces the amount of time spent switching between testers.
